Privacy Policy

MARQAL is an independent software service available at marqal.com that provides AI-assisted social media content generation through its website and API.

When you create an account, authentication and account information such as your email address and user identifier may be processed to provide and secure your account.

When you use the MARQAL API or Playground, we process the information you provide for content generation, including the selected platform, goal, topic, and related prompt information required to produce the requested output.

We also record operational information about API requests, including request status, timestamps, latency, endpoint, token usage, provider model, estimated provider cost, and error codes where applicable.

We use information to:

• provide and operate the MARQAL service;
• authenticate users and protect accounts;
• generate requested content;
• apply rate limits and prevent abuse;
• measure API usage, reliability, latency, and provider costs;
• diagnose errors and improve service quality;
• respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.

MARQAL uses third-party AI infrastructure to generate content. Information necessary to complete a generation request, including prompts derived from the platform, goal, topic, and MARQAL's generation instructions, may be sent to OpenAI for processing.

You should not submit passwords, financial account information, health records, government identifiers, or other highly sensitive personal information as generation topics or instructions.

MARQAL currently relies on service providers including Supabase for authentication, database, and backend infrastructure, OpenAI for AI model processing, and hosting/infrastructure providers required to deliver marqal.com.

These providers may process information on MARQAL's behalf as necessary to provide their respective services.

MARQAL API keys are treated as credentials. The full secret is displayed when a key is created or regenerated and should be stored securely by the user.

MARQAL stores API-key verification data using a secure hash rather than retaining the full secret in plaintext.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their credentials and for regenerating a key if they believe it has been exposed.

MARQAL retains account and operational information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and understand use of the service, or as otherwise required by law.

MARQAL does not currently publish a fixed automatic deletion period for API request telemetry.

MARQAL currently uses browser storage and functional technologies to maintain application state, authentication-related behavior, interface preferences, onboarding state, and similar service functionality.

MARQAL does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioral advertising trackers identified in the current application.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights regarding your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability.

MARQAL is not intended for children under 16. Users under 16 should not create an account or use the service without the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy as MARQAL evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date shown at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice.
